Jayme Ritchie was born and raised in New York. Jayme came to Colorado in 1996 to attend college at the University of Colorado at Boulder where she studied Philosophy.  Jayme then attended the University of Denver and graduated in 2004 with a law degree and a legal masters degree in Environmental and Natural Resources Law. She practiced environmental and natural resources law and commercial litigation for several years prior to becoming a mom and creating WeeCycle.

 

Sunny Heydorn was born in Maine and lived in Scotland, Florida, California and D.C. before making Colorado her home in 1992.  She skied and biked her way through Fort Lewis College in Durango, graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Cultural Anthropology.  Sunny received her law degree from the University of Denver in 2002, and practiced commercial real estate and corporate law until 2008, when her son Cash arrived on the scene & changed everything!  Creating and operating WeeCycle is the fulfillment of one of Sunny’s lifelong goals, and being a full-time mom is more fun than she ever could have imagined.  Sunny is currently living the dream in Lakewood along with her husband, son, two dogs, and large vegetable garden.

 

Amy Runyon-Harms was born and raised in Iowa.  After graduating with a double major in Biology and Environmental Science from Simpson College in 1997, Amy served as an environmental Peace Corps Volunteer in Tanzania.  It was there that she met fellow Peace Corps Volunteer and her future husband, Jason Harms.  They returned to Denver in 2000 where Amy has worked in the nonprofit sector ever since: first for the Women’s Bean Project and more recently for the Gill Foundation and the Gill Action Fund.  Amy is currently a Program Officer for the Gill Action Fund, and is excited to bring her nonprofit experience to WeeCycle.  Amy and Jason make their home in the West Wash Park neighborhood with their ‘energetic’ dog, Cooper, and cat, Miles.

 

Kerri Butler is currently the Agency Director for Premier Image Agency.  Kerri is also the Owner of Touch of Bliss Events - she has planned over 200 corporate and private events and she is ACPWC certified in event planning and production. Her background also includes corporate marketing and communications positions at such companies as Cisco Systems, ACS, Nordstrom and Sun Microsystems. Kerri holds a B.S. in Marketing from Santa Clara University, and she is a 2010 MBA candidate from Regis University. She loves to volunteer for WeeCycle and the Susan G. Komen Foundation, and she lives in Denver with her husband, son, and their two beagles.

 

Morgan Ship grew up in New York and came to Colorado for college in 2003. She fell in love with the mountains and sunshine and has been here ever since. She graduated from the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado at Boulder with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Her areas of emphasis were in Finance, Accounting and International Business. Morgan became involved with WeeCycle to assist with budgeting and financials. Morgan has a strong desire to improve the community in which we live in and feels that if each of us can give what we can and do what we are able to for others, we will all benefit in the end.

 

Jennifer Petit is a Product & Technology Staff Project Manager at Qwest Communications and is the 2008 recipient of the Women’s Vision Foundation “Betsy Bernard Emerging Leader Award”.  She earned bachelors degrees in Communications and Marketing from Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO and holds a Master’s Degree in Telecommunications Management from Webster University. She is also a certified Project Management Professional and has been a freelance journalist for over 15 years. Jennifer lives in Denver’s Northwest Highlands neighborhood with her husband Pedro and their toddler son Sebastian. She is also a stepmother to Paula, 11 years old. Jennifer is a member of Highlands Mommies, a community group for parents that share all kinds of useful tips and toys and classifieds. She is former whitewater river guide who enjoys learning to use the cool iLife programs on her MAC, family & friends, hosting backyard movie nights, escaping to the mountains and exploring cooking. She loves finding ways to give back to her community and is delighted to be a part of WeeCycle.

Alison Durnavich was born and raised in Farmington, New Mexico.  After graduating from Virginia Tech in 2000 with a degree in Communications, Alison moved to Denver to attend the University of Denver College of Law.  Following law school, Alison worked for a non-profit, public interest law firm and now practices law in the area of oil and natural gas.  In the past, Alison has volunteered with Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains and is now excited to get involved with WeeCycle.   In her spare time, Alison enjoys travelling, road cycling, mountain biking, and spending time with her husband, Sam, and their dog, Jake.

 

Ben Lusz was born and raised in Rockford, IL and studied hotel administration at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. After moving to Colorado Springs, Ben began working at the Gill Foundation in 1998. As logistics manager, he builds/produces meetings and conferences to educate donors on ways to be more strategic with their charitable contributions. Parental issues have become more important to Ben since he began working on GaybBoom.com in his free time and plans to adopt children of his own. During his downtime you can find Ben doing yard work, biking, snowboarding, out with friends, or relaxing with his two dogs and partner of seven years.
